Monday Mischief: SPRING it Forward!!

While I wish the weather would make up its mind already, the pups sure loved playing some Frisbee in the beautiful springtime weather today.  And what’s even better about warmer temps is that the pups tire out more quickly (it’s a win-win).  🙂

P.S. Grad school is, well, busy really busy!  I promise that I am catching up on all of your blogs and I truly appreciate you all keeping up with ours!

Join in the Monday Mischief fun … many thanks to Snoopy’s Dog Blog, Alfie’s Blog, My Brown Newfies, and Luna, A Dog’s Life for hosting this fun blog hop.

Wordless Wednesday: Frisbees & Special Effects

Phew!  It feels good to be back after an unexpected, week-long blogging break due to being excessively busy.  I am happy to say that we’re back and better than ever, with new plans for the blog including a soon-to-debut disc dogging tricks video.  For today, here are some photos taken yesterday right before the hail/thunderstorm hit.  The lighting was temperamental and I didn’t think to adjust my settings until the hail started coming down … so while I’m not thrilled with these shots, they gave me the chance to play around with some various special effects.  Anyway, it’s good to be back.  Happy Wordless Wednesday, everyone!

Wahoo! Bailey plays with the frisbee (he has much lower toy drive than the merle monsters so we're always thrilled when he gets excited enough to pick up a toy).

Kylie the jumping bean.

Diesel and his brand spanking new Jawz disc (which he LOVES).

2 is better than 1.

I love these two.  They’re inseparable, tied at the hip, always having fun and always living life to its fullest.  Constantly singing “anything you can do, I can do better”, they’re like a double dose of caffeinated competition.  In the case of Diesel and Kylie, two is better than one (or at least it’s more fun that way).

Oh, and did I mention that I love this new camera?  🙂

18 Days: Springloaded!!!

The flying Aussie!

Kylie has springs for legs.  I’m always in awe of how high she manages to launch herself up vertically into the air from a standstill.  When she gets really excited, she won’t jump on you – she’ll leap up directly in front of you over and over and over again, barking like she won the freaking lottery (Kylie, if you manage to actually win the lottery, remember who feeds you.).  Kylie loves getting big air and she loves her frisbee, so we’re attempting to start laying down a disc dog routine.  I don’t know how far we’ll actually get (unfortunately the person that throws the frisbees has about a 15% throwing accuracy …) but we’ll have fun trying!

Alligator jaws.
