Lazy Sunday.

Bailey on the trail of buttercups.

Today we had a lazy Sunday … not!  Life is never uneventful when you have 4 active puppies.  🙂  The weather was nice again today, almost too hot at 87 degrees.  We went to our favorite park, which was surprisingly empty, and spent a couple of hours exploring a new trail, watching the dogs cool off and swim in the lake, and letting the dogs romp around in the even taller grass (at this point, we can only tell where the pups are based on their jingling tags because the grass engulfs even their tails now).  They had a great time, as always.  And then later today, we played some backyard agility.  Between dock-diving and the dog park yesterday and agility and our favorite park today, the pups are doggone tired.  So with that being said, I guess we are having a lazy Sunday night, anyway.  Hope you all had as much fun as we did this weekend!

  1. I have been running non-stop for the last few days so we have spent most of the day snuggling and sleeping on the couch 🙂

  2. Chancy and Mumsy

Sounds like the pups had another great day today. Hope you all rest good tonight. We had thunderstorms last night and today so Chancy is all pooped out. He does not sleep when there are thunder boomers. Thanks, for stopping by and visiting us. Nose kisses for the pups!

    • They have been having a great past few days, that’s for sure! Lots of fun outdoor activities. Thank you for also stopping by and sorry to hear that Chancy is scared of thunder – have you ever tried a thundershirt? A few of my friends use them and love them.

  3. Tired but happy!:D I wish we could let Daisy run loose in parks like that, but the tick problem is exceptionally bad around here – even things like Frontline don’t stop them in tall grasses like that. My friend lets her dog run loose and takes an average of 10-15 ticks off her treated dog every single time. You guys are so lucky!

    • We find a tick on them here and there, but it’s definitely not an epidemic or anything. I try to limit our use of Frontline or any topical treatment for that matter (I take a more holistic approach with their care) but it does seem to help when we do use it. We are lucky to have such great parks around here!

  4. Love seeing the pictures of puppies playing. I wish our park had a swimming “hole.” Then Sampson wouldn’t be always laying in the muddy brook water!

    • Glad you like the photos. There are a few swimming areas at the local parks for the pups – they love it! Bailey also loves laying in muddy water … silly boys.

  5. Hey,

That’s a great tongue shot!! You guys sure had a fun day! Yep, I’m thinking you need a long nap, just like me 🙂

    Have fun,

    Snoopy 🙂

  6. I like that the trail is mowed grass. Bailey looks like she is having fun (and what a long tongue she has…lol).

    • We love that as well – the less pavement, the better in our book. And Bailey is actually a boy, but no worries … 9/10 people think that he is a girl. Must be his pretty face. 🙂

  7. I read ‘lazy Sunday’ and I wondered how is that possible with your lively gang. Then I read on and found out that you’ve actually had the kind of fun weekend I’m expecting of you guys. Well done, and may the fun never end.
I love the photo of Bailey on his buttercup trail x

  8. I’m catching up on your posts. 😉

We’ve been running around at 100mph lately, so I can relate to your busy-busy Sunday.

The park is soooo green! I wish our grass was that lush. Sadly, it’s quite brown, even with extensive watering. 😦
