Rain, Rain … Go Away!

Well … the weather didn’t cooperate yet again.  It’s been raining since last Thursday and it’s supposed to keep raining until next Monday.  We’re all feeling the rainy blues here — the backyard is a swamp (so no running around out back), our walks have been short (we only get 5-minute windows here and there), and you can forget about practicing agility (no need to risk a slip or fall and then a resulting injury).  I’m sure that you can tell how the dogs are feeling by these pictures … Poor things.  And these photos are straight from the camera again, no post-processing.

Sigh ...

Poor Kylie.

And no, I definitely did not dye Evee’s tail Hokie orange with organic food coloring.  🙂  Come on, sunshine and summer weather!!!

  1. When did the tip of Evee’s tail turn orange? I’ve never noticed that before! What a perfect tribute to your alma mater. 🙂

    • I dyed it before graduation, and it was bright orange so I decided not to scare everyone on here haha. Now that it’s faded quite a bit, Evee feels less ashamed to show everyone on the blogosphere (poor Evee lol).

  2. Too cute! What kind of dog is Kylie? She likes a little like my Romeo.

  3. Let’s see…I am guessing bored and tired?

  4. Oh my gosh, the faces on your pups are too funny! Evee looks like she really has had enough of the rain. Maybe if Evee wags her orange tail fast enough, the sun will shine through 😉

  5. Oh, look at those long faces…Poor babies. Just send the rain over here for a change, we haven’t had any in over a month and my garden is struggling. I never thought the UK would become a desert, but now I’m not so sure…
    Love the orange tail 😉

  6. Robin Eichert

Love the orange tail! What a riot. And yes, their faces tell the story well, don’t they? We’ve had day after day of similar weather here in New England but yesterday afternoon the rain stopped long enough for me and Grace to get out for our walk. It felt great to both of us.

    • Miss Evee is a devout Hokie fan, apparently. 🙂 And I’m glad that you had some sun for a change — hoping that we get a break here soon! A walk would do everyone in the house good.

  7. We have been having a lot of rain too. Luckily we can still train in the rain, (and actually for some odd reason the dawgs seem to train better in the rain).

All your doggies look so forlorn.

    Orange tail,huh? 🙂

    • That’s interesting that they train better in the rain, although I love swimming in the rain so maybe they have the same idea when it comes to that! And they are sad … poor things. Hoping to squeeze in a trip to the park today since we’re supposed to have a couple of dry hours! And yes, bright carrot orange tail 😛

  8. Kylie’s eyes! Your dogs are too cute. And I totally don’t condone any tail dyeing. (Tee hee hee.)

    • I love Kylie’s eyes, even if they show how miserable she is feeling in that picture lol. And when my parents came down for graduation, they took one look at Evee and shook their heads … Oops.

  9. Kylie’s eyes say it all – what a great pic! That makes 3 of us dog bloggers now with the same title, all talking about the nonstop rain. It must be an East Coast thing… LOL

    • Lol yes I realized that I stole Kristen’s title after I posted and went to her page and commented, and then also saw your comment that you were titling your post the same. Guess we are all getting tired of this wet, dreary weather!!

  10. It’s so strange how we write such similar posts without even knowing it. Your guys are definitely feeling the rainy blues.

  11. I feel for you all, rain sucks!! We just had a few days of unexpected rain, it doesn’t usually rain here in May, but thankfully it’s now back to Sun – yippee!! Hang in there guys!! What about a game of chase around the house?! Tee hee

    Your pal Snoopy 🙂

    • Snoopy, the poor pups look so sad – they just want to go out in play. And they have definitely played inside plenty, trust me! 🙂

  12. As long as it isn’t torrentially down pouring, we walk in the rain, and the snow…

    • We do too, but we miss our long walks at the park (until this afternoon, we’ve just been walking around the neighborhood in case we have to run back if the rain gets really bad!).
