30 Days: Jump for the Moon!

Bailey thinks that jumping is just plain awesome – he will jump through things, over things, on top of things, anything.  He has so much fun jumping that he’ll do it on his own, without ever being asked to.  When we first adopted Bailey, he was timid and somewhat fearful; this was likely attributable to his rough start in life (he was pulled from a rural pound by a wonderful rescue).  From the recommendation of a good friend, we decided to enroll Bailey in a local agility foundations class, a class that is excellent for puppies because it focuses on building a strong partnership between you and your dog.

We never looked back after that first night of class – beginning and intermediate classes, private lessons, seminars, and even trials followed after.  Agility did and still does wonders for Bailey’s confidence.  He runs fast, jumps high, tries hard, and most importantly, has fun.  From shy rescue puppy to our All-American agility star, Bailey shows that every dog shall have his day 🙂
