32 Days: Today is the greatest day ever!

Kylie never, ever wakes up on the wrong side of the bed.  Every single morning is like Christmas morning to her.  She’s like the annoyingly happy, overly enthusiastic, polar opposite version of Chicken Little.  Kylie can’t wait to start the day.  As soon as she sees my eyes start to crack open, she begins her morning wakeup routine (aka Aussie spaz attack).  Every other dog is more than happy to sleep in and looks at Kylie as though she belongs in a psych ward.

  • Bailey: “… Zzzzzz …”
  • Diesel: “You definitely said the same exact thing yesterday morning.”
  • Evee: “… Zzzzzz …”
  • Diesel: “Not every single day can be the greatest day ever.”
  • Kylie: “BUT IT IS!  COME ON!  LET’S ALL GET UP AND GO RUN AROUND AND HOLD HANDS AND SING SONGS AND PLAY AND WRESTLE AND BLAH BLAH BLAH …”  (Which by this point, everyone is totally annoyed with Kylie and wants to suffocate her with a pillow.)

While I try and prolong staying in bed for as long as possible, and as much as I want to strangle Kylie during her ridiculous crack-of-dawn escapades, I have to admit that Kylie has a good point – wake up, embrace the day, and live life as if every day is indeed the greatest day ever.

  1. Kylie is the Kate Moss of dogs…just saying 😉

  2. Her face definitely says aussie spaz attack…but it also says “I’m so cute” 🙂

  3. Who needs an alarm clock when you have a bubbly and spirited gal like Kylie to greet you every morning! What a great picture of Kylie—you can really see her personality shine through.

    • That’s a great point! Kylie the alarm clock 🙂 And thank you – it’s hard to take pictures of her most of the time since she’s always on the move and my camera is definitely not meant for action shots. Yet another reason I am saving up for a DSLR camera!

  4. The picture of Kylie with the alert ears, wired eyes, and big smile definitely corroborate your description! What a great attitude she has and one we would all benefit from having!

    • While it’s hard to take pictures of Kylie since she’s always bouncing around, the pictures that I do get show nothing but jubilance and glee. She is a great dog to come home to after a trying day. And I definitely agree – we would all live happier if we had the outlook on life that Kylie has!

  5. I love the Doggy dialog. This is by far the best post yet.

  6. She reminds me of my girl Cookie. Always full of life no matter what. She’s my best pick-me-up when I’m down 🙂
